Ranging from prehistoric encampments to pivotal Revolutionary War sites, to the homesteads of U.S. Presidents and a prominent U.S. Congressman and Senator, Vermont’s historic sites chronicle the development of a state, its people and the nation around it. Know Before You Go:
  • An overview of all of the sites can be found at
  • The months, days and times of operation vary between the sites, however most are open between May and October
  • Children under 14 are free at all sites
  • Each additional adult voucher is $12.50
  • On the day of your tour you will meet your tour guide at the appointed time at admissions
  • Your tour guide will present you with your complimentary postcard pack

Insider's Tips:
Dress comfortably. You’ll find that many of the historic sites include gardens, trails, and ample opportunities for walking outdoors.
Bring a camera. Whether it is breathtaking views of Lake Champlain from Chimney Point or Mt. Independence; panoramas viewed from the Coolidge Homestead or Bennington Battle Monument, we think you’ll find compelling landscapes and architecture.
Pack a picnic with Vermont’s seasonal local foods. will tell you about nearby farmstands and local markets. Fresh bread, cheese and a local beer or wine will make your day that much more special.
